I woke up this morning and almost had a heart attack. I hit 30 weeks today which means I have only 10 (if that) weeks left before this baby gets here!
All the sudden these questions ran into my mind... Am I ready for this? Why is this pregnancy flying by so fast? Oh no I haven't even started the nursery! What else do me and Ky need to do before it's not just the two of us anymore? And blah blah blah. Truth is, 10 weeks really doesn't seem that long to me and I really want to try and enjoy these last few months before baby gets here.
How big is baby: 17 inches long, and just over 3 pounds.
Symptoms: heartburn... But what else is new. And this back pain keeps getting worse and worse the bigger she gets:) also... The dreaded stretch marks have made their appearance! I have decided to call them my beauty marks though:) honestly they don't bother me all that much.
Baby movement: constantly! And more in my right side ribcage. Makes for a super uncomfortable momma. Also funny moment from today.. Meghan Trainers song "No" came on in the car today while I was running my errands, and little girl started kicking right to the beat! I kinda made a joke out loud.. "So you want your name to be No?" After the lyrics go "my name is no..." And she just stopped kicking. Like Hello mom. No I don't want my name to be No! I like to think she just liked the song, which is good because I do too, which means she has excellent taste.
Sleeping: seriously a hit and miss. About every third night I realllllllly get a good night sleep and Kyler always tells me he knows because I end up snoring the whole night. Sorry honey! I have to enjoy it while I can! And I truly believe I would sleep better if I didn't have to get up every 2 hours to pee!
New things for baby: Grandma Hoggan (my mom) went to St. George a few weeks ago and came home with darling clothes, a hat, and cute little moccasins for baby. Grandma Webb (kylers mom) has also been shopping lots, safe to say these grandmas are very excited for a grand baby! I also had extra fabric from the car seat cover I made her, and decided to make the CUTEST leggings for her. They turned out sooooo cute! Also Sister Burton from my temple shift made baby the cutessssst blanket that she crochet herself.
Things I'm NOT looking forward to: being more uncomfortable, the hotness of summer, and leaving all my friends from the Temple. I only have 4 more weeks until they are kicking me out! And yes I completely understand.. I have absolutely loved working in the temple with Ky. Luckily he gets to stay :)
Things I AM looking forward to: my first Mother's Day, Kylers graduation from college on Saturday (finally!) and getting our new car! We just bought a Chevy Aveo, and let's just say I look dang cute driving it:)
Life is good and I wouldn't have it any other way.
